Can I retag a body w/ my VIN# (196 views) (314 thread views) 
Message: I have a chance to buy a 71 that is just a shell, somebody else's project. The car has paper work, but not a "working" title? Can I use my parts and re tag said car with my vin plate? I can get a title, but the car is not a tii? Can I legally put together a car. My tii has extensive rust all over, but is a good parts car. I would like to retain the vin, I know it's a shortcut but the other body is a great start. Thanks Ron
