| Message: | | The sale of the used E39, like virtually all other used car sales, is based on its as-is physical condition; any adjustments or condition allowances must be bargained for pre-sale. Did the seller misrepresent the current key count? If not, what's the issue? Buyer should have spoken up and confirmed how many key(s) included in the sale; and if short, or if more are wanted, or wanted some dent fixed, etc., then add it as a condition to the sale; this kind of stuff is done all the time. Analogies to missing gas tanks or interior carpeting are silly and don't add to the debate.
