| Message: | When I drive at 1mph to 10mph it sounds like a train is locking up it's metal wheels skidding on the train tracks. It's a horribly loud metal on metal sound. I haven't gotten to tow it in to a mechanic yet, so im not driving it. I'm looking for some advice. I'm thinking it could be a wheel bearing or it could be maybe the rear drive shaft or rear differential. I'm out of my 4 year warranty by only 2 months :( Should I go to a car shop and buy a jack that can lift the entire rear-end off the ground? I need to turn the rear wheels by hand I think, the problem is, you're not supposed to jack up a car without the parking break on right? I don't want to take it to a "stealership". I'm in Nothern California (San Jose). Anyone have any ideas besides the obvious "Tow it to a shop"? | ||||
