Message: It's a 2005 E46 M3 only 25k miles, SMG.

The sound seems to happen when in neutral (does not have to be in gear).

I also thought, maybe it's a caliper stuck?

I had my pads checked 2 months ago, and they were all around 9mm of pad left.
