| Message: | Walk along your car while someone else is driving it at a low speed. The best-case scenario has already been described: A small rock stuck between your rim and brake. If you think it's a differential grind, you could try to persuade BMWNA to grant a "goodwill" warranty claim. After all, this will be a major repair cost, and the car is only two months out of warranty. You should know your BMW dealer will charge a bundle to diagnose the problem. If it isn't your differential, you've probably just wasted a lot of money. You can also take a chance with your dealer, and ask that whatever the problem, it be covered since you're just over the warranty date. Any warranty claim at this point will have to be approved by a BMW field representative. If you go through your dealer and find out you need to spend a lot of money, ask for that representative. It can't hurt.
