That stadium, like you said, definitely gives a home-field advantage. Wow. I've never been to something so loud. What a great atmosphere. Too bad it was for the other team...
However, I think the biggest difficulty we had wasn't the fans, it was as simple as grass. It wasn't a bad turf, in fact it looked to be a really amazing field, it's just that we haven't played on grass in forever. Although I prefer grass and I think all stadiums should have it, our players obviously don't. You could see in all the cuts OU made, our guys overpursued and couldn't break back after them. You can't tackle someone when you don't touch them.
The fans, for the most part, were pretty nice to us individually (with a few exceptions, who were usually drunk). They weren't so kind to the whole collective of Tech fans, which is to be expected.
I don't know...I thought it would be close. I thought whoever had the ball last would win. I thought we could tackle. I thought we had an offense...and actually, we can do all those things but, like Texas, four straight games against ranked opponents isn't easy. We pulled off three of them, and I agree that we are still one of the best in the country. Now I have to pull for OSU so we can win the south...
