| Message: | I agreed with you about Baylor. The game really wasn't as close as the score showed, though. Even though they were dominant in the first half, we answered and could have easily scored again at the end but we just sat on the ball. I'm not thrilled at our lack of effort, though. I honestly think that if they were in another conference (or even in the big xii north) they would, at a minimum, have a winning record and be going to a bowl game...if not win their division. They just ran into four top-ten teams. Next year they could be a team to fear. Way more than aTm at this point. 45-35 is nice...but I seem to remember a game in Lubbock in the national spotlight about three weeks ago that I prefer (and another one last week I'd like to forget...) Then there's the "but we only had one bad night this season" approach that Texas was using about Tech (and OU about Texas, and us about OU...). WHERE'S THE PLAYOFF?! I like the Mike Leach tiebreaker method (shocker). They're all student-athletes so why not use graduation rates to determine the winner? We'll win that one :-) The worst part about this whole thing is we're getting screwed out of the BCS. Not just a Big XII title game, but the BCS as a whole. Why? Because we lost last. If we lost in October we'd be where OU is now. Also, why do we limit a conference to two BCS teams? We deserve four and the ACC deserves NONE! It should be the top 10 teams, period. Here's a great scenario: Just wait until Mizzou beast OU in the big xii title game (just to prove the BCS sucks) and Texas goes to the national championship game without winning their own conference, destroys Florida, wins the title and Tech is left in the west Texas dust with one loss and having beaten the "national champ." Tech will destroy whoever they play in their .com bowl 49-28 (coming back from 28-0 at the half), will be 12-1 with the same record as Texas (and we beat them) but we get nothing because of the polls. I'm not a bitter Tech fan or anything :-) Stupid politics...but still, 11-1 is pretty sweet. | ||||
