I didn't understand what you said about the display being just left center of the visor. Is it just the display from the casing of the V1?(the little row of lights and arrows showing direction of bogies?) I've never seen what the remote display looks like, where can I find more information other than valentine1.com? I really love what you guys have done. I agree with what MikeG said about incorporating the remote display into the guage cluster or guages on the center column. One more thing... I've seen cars for sale advertising that they have sensors built into the front and rear of the car going to a cabin display mounted somewhere, can a V1 do this? Thanks alot

: Jon Maddux (the leather armrest guy) and I have been working on this project for a while. A highly modified V1 is mounted inside the driver side sun visor. The display is just left center side of the visor and the rest of the unit is inside the far right side. I nuked the lazer detector sub-assembly to save some space. Other than and the casing, its all in there.: Jon and I will probably clean up this prototype a bit and make the display nice and clean. Power comes from the dome light (sacrificed until I can think of something better). But actually I like using the dome light switch to turn the detector on and off. For more steath, we might do away with the on-off volume control all together. I'm working on a matching leather armband sort of thing to slip over visor where the display is located to totally hide the unit.
: BTW, Jon and I were wondering if there might be in interest from board members in having a few of these units made. It seems a shame to waste our huge learning curve on just making one unit.
