I have one in my 99 2.8 and after i bought it i was mostly unhappy with the FM reception as well as the bass response. However, now that i fixed the bass by tightening some loose parts and added the optional six CD changer in the trunk I am quite happy and satisfied. If you don't want to get into a lot of 3rd party stuff then I would reccomend it. I enjoy it now alot since I made the changes I mentioned.


: Hello, Being in Australia, I don't know what the standard specs are for Z3's in the States. There have been lots of complaints about the sound system quality in Z3's here, but what sound system are the complaints levelled at? ie. does the optional (in Australia) Harman Kardon system still sound as bad?

: I'm considering a Z3 purchase for later in the year, so I'm wanting to know if the extra $$$ for the HK system is worth it. I'm not big on third party post-purchase mods.
