: : Jon Maddux (the leather armrest guy) and I have been working on this project for a while. A highly modified V1 is mounted inside the driver side sun visor. The display is just left center side of the visor and the rest of the unit is inside the far right side. I nuked the lazer detector sub-assembly to save some space. Other than and the casing, its all in there.

: : Jon and I will probably clean up this prototype a bit and make the display nice and clean. Power comes from the dome light (sacrificed until I can think of something better). But actually I like using the dome light switch to turn the detector on and off. For more steath, we might do away with the on-off volume control all together. I'm working on a matching leather armband sort of thing to slip over visor where the display is located to totally hide the unit.
I would assume that your coverage would be compromized in the vertical position. But the visor does retain its full range of movement.

: : BTW, Jon and I were wondering if there might be in interest from board members in having a few of these units made. It seems a shame to waste our huge learning curve on just making one unit.
