I haven't heard the stock system, but plan on tightening the sub as soon as I get it by using two piece of advice on the board:
1) Common problem: Make sure internal screws are tight (open grill from bottom, check four (?) screws)
2) Place a thick piece of velcro under the rubber "snorkel" in the enclosure to keep it from vibrating too much (this pushes it firmly against the grill).
I've got the HK on order because I don't wan't to give up trunk space to get some bass, and will upgrade the 4" rear speakers behind the seat (rear speakers not part of standard system). I could spend a little less less and go cut up the car to go custom on everything, but my upgrade will be in stages, and I want it to look as factory as possible on the interior.
