I wasn't there, so I'm sure not going to question what happened in this accident.

But one of the advantages of always wearing a seatbelt is that it becomes a habit, & it quickly becomes pretty hard to forget to put the thing on. (I've even found myself putting the belt on when I'm moving the car a few feet in the driveway!) I find that it actually feels unnatural to drive without a belt on -- almost as unfamiliar as if I were to leave the house without pants on.

I'm not saying that you'll *always* remember, but some habits are good ones to get into.
