Trunk latch problem: Bent rod fix (archive)

Got the modified rod bending tool back from my machinist today. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. The first U is easy. The second U is harder because you have to space it correctly. Do the long rod first. If you screw it up you can use it to make the short rod. The actuator end is adjustable (short rod). So if the rod is off a little you can adjust for it.
